Our classes interweave breath work, meditation in motion, yogic philosophy, and anatomy. Classes are mostly in the tradition of Kripalu Yoga, but also include parts of other traditions for a well rounded class. Classes are safe and effective for every age and every body type. Whether you are new to yoga or have been practicing for years, our personal yoga and yoga classes will give you a deeper appreciation for all aspects of your life.
Preparing for Yoga Classes We ask that you observe the following guidelines when preparing for our group yoga classes:
· Wear loose, but comfortable fitting clothing that will not restrict your movement. If you have a sticky mat, please bring your own · Yoga is best practiced on an empty stomach. Do not eat anything heavy two hours before class. · Arrive for class at least five minutes early. If for any reason you do arrive late, please wait until the period of silence has ended before entering the room. · Please turn your cell phone off or to the vibrate mode. · Some people have a high sensitivity to fragrances. Please limit the use of perfumes. · Leave your competitive side at the door. Each individual is encouraged to work at their own level and is on their own journey. The best way to avoid injuries is to listen to your own body in a nonjudgmental, noncompetitive way and work at your own level. · Most importantly, come prepared to enjoy, have fun, and relax!
