Is nutrition counseling covered by my insurance? We are listed as participating providers for several insurance companies. Please note that our status as a provider with your insurance company does not guarantee coverage. Furthermore, we require a medical diagnosis provided by your Primary Care Physician or other treating physician to bill your insurance. We urge all clients to directly contact their respective insurance company(ies) to determine whether Medical Nutrition Therapy is covered directly under their benefit plan. Will my insurance provider contribute to the cost of fitness services? Certain insurance companies provide discount incentives and/or direct reimbursement for fitness programs. Visit our Insurance Providers page for more details.
What is your office policy regarding the submission of claims to my provider? Advantage Nutrition & Wellness is a participating provider with several insurance carriers. If you have one of these insurance plans, we will submit your claim on your behalf and your payment responsibility will be limited to any applicable co-pay or coinsurance at the time of your session. Please note that if your insurance carrier is not listed, payment for services is due at the time of your scheduled session. We will gladly submit any claims on your behalf and any payments will be issued directly to you for reimbursement. Visit our Insurance Policy page for more details. |
