What are the benefits of having a Personal Trainer? Obvious benefits of having a personal trainer include constant motivation and guidance in exercise form. Each individual has different fitness needs. A personal trainer can prescribe an individualized exercise program to fit your personal goals. For example, a senior citizen looking to increase their activity level and decrease joint pain would engage in a different type of program than would an adolescent looking to decrease body fat and improve agility.
What will I be doing during my initial fitness evaluation? You will be performing different tests that will rate your overall fitness level. The tests include a Strength Assessment, a Cardiovascular Test, a Muscle Imbalance Test, a Sit Up Test, and a Comprehensive Body Composition Analysis. Once evaluated, the Personal Trainer will be able to build a program based on your performance during these tests.
How long are the personal training sessions? Each personal training session is 60 minutes.
Am I required to perform my exercise routine at the Advantage Nutrition & Wellness facility? No. While the personal training sessions are conducted in our facility, exercise routines can be performed at home, at your gym, or during our open fitness hours. Most programs require user friendly and easy to find fitness equipment such as dumbbells and stability balls. If you’re interested in incorporating other items into your work out, the personal trainer can recommend several different variations of exercises based on equipment available to you at home or at your gym.
Is there a monthly membership fee for open fitness hours? Yes. Our monthly membership fee for open fitness is $36. PLEASE NOTE: This service is only available to clients with an active Personal Training Package utilizing at least one personal training session per month.
Are there age restrictions on any of the wellness services? The services we offer are not age specific. We welcome all age groups to participate.
Why is Heart Rate Monitoring an important part of my workout? Heart Rate Monitoring is one of the most effective ways to gauge how hard you’re working based upon your fitness level. You want to make sure you’re exercising hard enough, but not overworking your heart!
What hours are available for fitness services? Hours of operation for fitness are Monday through Friday 6:30am to 7:00pm. APPOINTMENTS REQUIRED.
Will my insurance provider contribute to the cost of fitness services? Certain insurance companies provide discount incentives and/or direct reimbursement for fitness programs. Visit our Insurance Providers page for more details.
