Advantage Nutrition & Wellness, the Lehigh Valley’s premier source for nutrition and wellness programming, was founded as Advantage Nutrition in August 2000 by Jennifer Doane, registered dietitian and certified athletic trainer.
Originally located on Cedar Crest Boulevard in Allentown, Advantage Nutrition provided high quality individual nutrition counseling and education to adults, adolescents, and children. During that time Jennifer also provided nutrition counseling and educational programs for area corporations such as Mack Trucks, New Vitae, and Air Products. Jennifer provided similar services for area secondary schools and colleges/universities including Lehigh University, Lafayette College, Muhlenberg College, Moravian College, and Parkland High School.
Advantage Nutrition continued to grow and in April of 2006, Jacqui Boyle joined Jennifer in providing nutritional counseling. Through their working relationship, Jennifer and Jacqui saw a need to expand their services to better meet the needs of their clientele.
It was through this vision that Advantage Nutrition & Wellness, LLC was created. In July 2007 a professional partnership between Jennifer Doane (president/secretary) and Jacqui Boyle (vice-president/treasurer) was formed. In addition to offering nutrition counseling and education, the limited liability corporation expanded its services to include wellness programming. In October 2007, Advantage Nutrition & Wellness moved to its current 3,400 square foot facility in the City Line Plaza building on Schoenersville Road in Bethlehem.
